Story About Our Name

So we get this question all the time. What in the world does “Eat the 80” mean?

Am I only eating 80 calories? No, that would be a meal delivery service made for ants. Are the owners really into the 1980s? No, big hair and fanny packs are cool and all, but still… no.

So what does it mean to Eat the 80? It’s all about balance!

We as humans like to eat. No, we LOVE to eat. Food is a huge part of our lives, and at Eat the 80, we believe it is truly something to be enjoyed and celebrated.

We never want to be the person that says no to a fresh, out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookie because “we’re on a diet.” But we also realize we can’t eat cookies everyday because that’s clearly not healthy either.

Enter: “The 80”

Eighty percent of the time, you should focus on eating clean, good-for-you foods. And that’s what Eat the 80 provides to you. Our meals come straight from nature and contain no artificial ingredients, added sugar, or preservatives and most meals contain zero gluten. Think farm-fresh produce, grass-fed protein and wild-caught seafood.

Then, 20 percent of the time you have the freedom to indulge as you please. It’s that simple.

Call it “paleo.” Call it “clean.” Whatever you call it, we just call it healthy.
